Prepares and maintains other records. \nPrepares and packs orders for shipment; checks and prepares documentation; loads shipment into carriers. Receives and unpacks goods, and labels for identification purposes. Stores items in warehouse on floors or shelves as appropriate. \nOperates a forklift truck to transport goods and materials throughout the plant. May operate other equipment such as pallet handlers, hand trucks etc. May conduct general and support preventative maintenance on all process and support equipment\nParticipates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.\nCollects final product samples for Quality Control testing. \nOperation of the Track Mobile (both manual and remote car moves). Understanding of the mechanical checklist, switching of tracks, and a working knowledge of all safety standards.\nSet-up and operation of the Denser. Ability to troubleshoot and verify tamp density through the lab. Understanding of nitrogen operations associated with the Denser.\nServicing and programing of labeling machines. Performs change outs of each of the three machines and able to back-up data, perform technical adjustments, and set IP addresses.\nAdjust and perform basic service for the bagging machine. This includes FIBC weight calibration, valve adjustments, solenoid adjustments, and preventive maintenance.\nPerform palletizer/conveyor troubleshooting and minor repairs (adjustment of photo eyes).\nAble to assist the Shipping and Receiving Department, including becoming a certified spotter, making entries into JD Edwards, understanding of bills of lading, and loading and unloading of trucks.\nWorks in a safe manner and support SH&E programs. Ensures co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nWorks different shift schedules and overtime hours.\nSupports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors)\nAbility to interpret operating instructions; written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.\nAbility to operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment.\nMechanical aptitude to operate and maintain process and support equipment.\nAbility to work with International Standards Organization (ISO) quality and process standards.\nEducation/Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.
