The ideal candidate will bring strong modeling and simulation skills, a practical approach to mechanical integration, and a willingness to contribute across the full development lifecycle. This is a senior level position; an ideal candidate would also act in a mentorship capacity to less experienced engineers and advise on multiple projects.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and modify CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks\n\nPerform CFD and flow analysis to support aerodynamic design\n\nManage design files and workflows\n\nSupport aerodynamic design, analysis and testing of UAS components and systems\n\nAssist in the creation of documentation, manuals, and technical materials\n\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to support system-level integration\n\nParticipate in planning and coordination efforts across multiple projects\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nMust be a US Citizen and have Secret Clearance to start\n7 + years of related experience\nProficiency in SolidWorks and Windchill (EPDM)\nExperience conducting CFD or other aerodynamic flow analysis\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to be hands-on with builds and integration\nFamiliarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques\nStrong organizational and communication skills\nBackground or interest in UAVs/UAS\nProject management experience is a plus\nDesired:\nExperience using Mission Planner for flight configuration and planning.\nRC pilot experience (fixed wing and multirotor).\nDemonstrated skills in RC aircraft build and construction.\nFamiliarity with modern RC technologies such as Betaflight, EdgeTX, DJI FPV, INAV, and ExpressLRS.\nAbility to PID tune multirotor aircraft.\nHobbyist experience with 3D printers, CNC routers, laser cutters, or foam cutters.\nExperience with small engines, including tuning and adjustment of high/low-speed needle valves\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
