As the selected candidate, you will focus on providing detailed CAD drawings for telecommunication installation efforts including inside and outside plant infrastructure installations. As the selected CAD operator, responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical drawings and blueprints, implementing feedback from engineers and technicians, visiting sites, keeping up-to-date with CAD software, and working long hours to meet deadlines. \nTo be successful as a CAD operator, you should be able to understand complex calculations and have sound knowledge of drawing standards. Outstanding CAD operators are disciplined, open to collaboration, and also possess manual drawing skills.\nResponsibilities:\nInterpreting project briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and technicians to ensure all technical drawings are completed to specifications.\nProducing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and prints.\nVisiting sites to gather information.\nUpdating software, drawings, and other documents.\nEnsuring drawings are compliant with engineering standards.\nBe accountable for the maintenance of the CAD drawing library.\nCommunicating potential design issues to engineers and technicians.\nConducting research when required.\n Qualifications:\nRequired:\nAssociate's degree in drafting or other related discipline and 1-3 years of related experience or a combination of skills, education, and experience.\nPractical experience with AutoCAD software. Knowledge of engineering and construction.\nStrong communication skills and attention to detail.\nSuperb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.\nWillingness to work overtime when required.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in a construction environment.\nKnowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).\nExtremely detailed oriented.\nDesired:\nBA / BS degree in engineering, civil/mechanical engineering or other related discipline and 1-3 years of related experience or a combination of skills, education, and experience.\nExperience using Autodesk Vault and Microsoft SharePoint.\nWorking knowledge or experience with the standards set forth in the USAISEC Drafting guidelines to ensure compliance of all documentation.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
