The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain data architectures, analytical pipelines, and AI-enabled solutions that transform large volumes of operational, intelligence, and mission data into actionable insights for decision-makers. This position requires expertise in aggregating, organizing, analyzing, and visualizing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) operations, capability development, operational assessments, acquisition decisions, and strategic planning efforts. The Data Engineer will leverage advanced analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence tools to identify relevant information, uncover trends, and deliver data products that enable informed operational and procurement decisions.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that collect, integrate, process, and manage data from multiple operational, intelligence, and enterprise sources.\nUtilize Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytical tools to support mission analysis, operational assessments, and decision-making.\nAggregate, clean, normalize, and transform large datasets to ensure data quality, accessibility, and usability across the organization.\nDevelop dashboards, reports, data visualizations, and common operating picture products that communicate complex information in a clear and actionable manner.\nLeverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to automate data processing, information extraction, pattern recognition, and predictive analytics.\nConduct data mining, data scraping, and data exploitation activities to identify relevant information from large volumes of structured and unstructured data.\nDevelop and maintain data models, databases, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to support enterprise data management requirements.\nCollaborate with engineers, analysts, operators, and stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop analytical solutions supporting mission objectives.\nDevelop performance metrics and analytical frameworks to assess operational effectiveness, capability gaps, system performance, and mission outcomes.\nProduce technical documentation, data management plans, analytical reports, and executive-level briefings to support senior military and civilian leadership.\nEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable policies, standards, and governance requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve data architectures, automation workflows, and analytical methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.\nSupport operational assessments, technology evaluations, capability demonstrations, and acquisition efforts through data-driven analysis and decision support.\nMaintain awareness of emerging AI technologies, data analytics methodologies, and mission-relevant data sources to enhance organizational capabilities.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nActive Top Secret/SCI Clearance.\nBA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years.\nDemonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets and enterprise-level data environments.\nExperience utilizing Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, or similar data integration and analytics platforms.\nProficiency with Python for data engineering, automation, analytics, and data transformation activities.\nExperience developing interactive dashboards and data visualization products using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.\nExperience leveraging AI-enabled tools, machine learning applications, or advanced analytics solutions to support operational decision-making.\nKnowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data integration methodologies, database management, and data architecture principles.\nExperience collecting, organizing, scraping, cleansing, and exploiting structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to develop technical documentation, analytical reports, data products, and executive-level briefings.\nAbility to translate complex analytical findings into concise, actionable recommendations for senior military and civilian leadership.\nExperience developing performance metrics, analytical frameworks, and decision-support products.\nProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in dynamic operational environments.\nDesired:\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organizations.\nFamiliarity with intelligence data sources, sensor data, operational data feeds, and mission command systems.\nExperience supporting CJADC2, data fusion, common operating picture development, or operational decision-support systems.\nKnowledge of cloud-based data environments, distributed computing architectures, and enterprise data governance practices.\nExperience integrating AI capabilities into operational workflows and mission support activities.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
