This position requires expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, data science methodologies, and AI-enabled technologies to support Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) operations, capability development, operational assessments, acquisition decisions, and strategic planning efforts. The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, automation, and data fusion techniques to identify operational trends, forecast outcomes, optimize mission performance, and develop innovative analytical solutions supporting senior military and civilian leadership.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, implement, and maintain advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and AI-enabled analytical solutions supporting operational decision-making.\nUtilize Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytical platforms to develop predictive models and mission decision-support capabilities.\nAnalyze large volumes of structured and unstructured operational, intelligence, and enterprise data to identify trends, anomalies, correlations, and predictive indicators.\nDesign and develop predictive analytics, forecasting models, classification algorithms, and optimization techniques to support operational planning and resource allocation.\nLeverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science methodologies to automate information extraction, target identification, threat analysis, and operational assessments.\nDevelop dashboards, analytical visualizations, predictive data products, and executive decision-support tools that effectively communicate complex analytical findings.\nConduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model validation, and performance optimization to improve analytical accuracy and operational effectiveness.\nCollaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, software developers, operators, intelligence analysts, and mission stakeholders to develop integrated analytical solutions supporting mission objectives.\nDevelop analytical frameworks and quantitative models to evaluate system performance, operational effectiveness, capability gaps, technology maturity, and acquisition priorities.\nSupport operational experimentation, technology demonstrations, capability evaluations, and acquisition efforts through advanced modeling and data-driven analysis.\nResearch, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, and advanced analytical methodologies to improve mission performance.\nProduce technical documentation, model documentation, analytical reports, executive briefings, and recommendations supporting senior military and civilian leadership.\nEnsure analytical models comply with applicable security, governance, validation, and data integrity requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve AI-enabled workflows, analytical automation, predictive modeling capabilities, and enterprise decision-support systems.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nActive Top Secret/SCI Clearance.\nMA/MS with 10+ years’ experience; BA/BS with 15+ years; AA/AS with 17+ years; or HS/GED with 19+ years. Demonstrated experience applying data science methodologies to solve complex operational or enterprise challenges.\nExperience utilizing Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, or similar enterprise analytics and data integration platforms.\nAdvanced proficiency with Python for data science, statistical analysis, machine learning, automation, and model development.\nExperience developing predictive models, statistical analyses, machine learning algorithms, or artificial intelligence applications.\nExperience utilizing Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms to develop advanced dashboards and analytical visualizations.\nStrong understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining methodologies.\nExperience collecting, organizing, cleansing, validating, and exploiting structured and unstructured datasets from multiple operational and intelligence sources.\nExperience leveraging AI-enabled tools, large language models (LLMs), or advanced analytics platforms to support operational decision-making.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to develop technical documentation, analytical reports, executive briefings, and presentation materials.\nAbility to communicate complex analytical concepts and model outputs to senior military and civilian leadership in a clear and actionable manner.\nProven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary technical and operational teams.\nDesired:\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organizations.\nFamiliarity with intelligence data sources, sensor fusion, geospatial intelligence, operational data feeds, and mission command systems.\nExperience supporting CJADC2, data fusion, common operating picture development, or operational decision-support systems.\nExperience developing AI-enabled capabilities for object detection, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, threat forecasting, or autonomous systems.\nExperience with cloud-based AI/ML environments, distributed computing, MLOps, model lifecycle management, and enterprise data governance.\nExperience supporting operational research, capability development, technology evaluations, acquisition decision-making, or advanced mission analytics within defense organizations.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
