You will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications that directly impact our organization’s success and support our customers mission-critical systems. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the Virginia office three days a week and work out of our Maryland office for the rest of the week.\nResponsibilities:\nParticipation in the full software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on frontend development from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance. \nDevelop strategic vision and product development roadmaps with an emphasis on frontend technologies and user experience. \nDesign and implement new frontend architectures and user interfaces to enhance user experience and application performance. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components. \nMentor and provide guidance to junior frontend developers, fostering their professional growth. \nConduct code reviews to maintain frontend code quality, performance, and maintainability. \nInvestigate and resolve moderately complex frontend technical issues, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement. \nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide frontend technical expertise and solutions. \nStay up to date with emerging frontend technologies, industry advancements, sharing knowledge and best practices. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\nExperienced frontend developer with strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular. \nProficiency in frontend development tools and libraries, and frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Vite, Webpack, Vitest, Jest, Playwright). \nKnowledge of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and architecture principles with a focus on frontend development. \nExperience designing and implementing REST APIs. \nFamiliarity with backend development technologies, such as Java, to support full-stack capabilities. \nContainer Orchestration and Management experience using technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm. \nDatabase expertise in integrating and optimizing both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, InfluxDB), with a focus on performance enhancement. \nDevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, source control and associated tools (e.g., Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible). \nData Visualization and Monitoring experience using tools like Grafana and Kibana to create insightful dashboards and perform real-time data analysis. \nSecurity practices and familiarity with authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms. \nAgile methodologies experience such as Scrum or Kanban, and familiarity with related issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).\nQualifications:\nRequired: \n\nActive Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with Poly \nMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development or related roles. \nProven track record of delivering moderately complex frontend projects. \nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. \nExperience in frontend development with a willingness to work across the full stack. \nFamiliarity with Linux operating systems. \nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
