As a Desktop Support Technician, you’ll be the go-to problem solver who keeps critical systems running, supports end users with professionalism, and ensures seamless functionality across desktops, networks, voice systems, and classified environments. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and opportunities to support both unclassified and classified systems.\nIf you enjoy working independently, tackling diverse challenges, and being the backbone of IT operations, this role is an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact.\nResponsibilities:\nImage, configure, and deploy physical and virtual desktops; troubleshoot and repair hardware including desktops, laptops, zero clients, monitors, and docking stations; manage OS, BIOS, disk, and data encryption.\n\nInstall, configure, and troubleshoot end-user applications and certificates.\n\nRestore and migrate data, decrypt inaccessible files, and apply or troubleshoot file permissions.\n\nDocument all work in trouble tickets while meeting required SLAs and quality standards.\n\nPatch network ports, trace lines, and support installation of network switches.\n\nConfigure and maintain UPS devices, including battery replacements, failure troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and scheduling customer downtime.\n\nInstall and support VOIP phones and voicemail systems.\n\nConfigure multifunction devices for print, scan, and fax; coordinate multi-step hardware replacements with vendors.\n\nPlan and execute user moves, including connectivity, devices, and phones.\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot local security/badging systems.\n\nPrepare obsolete assets for compliant disposal.\n\nCollaborate with and support other IT teams as needed.\n\nProvide support for both unclassified and classified systems.\n\nMore About the Role\nYou will support multiple sites across the United States via remote tools, communication platforms, and occasional travel.\n\nPrimary duty location will be Albuquerque, NM\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nActive TS/SCI with polygraph.\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least five years in a relevant technical role.\n\nStrong proficiency with Windows desktop operating systems and Dell hardware.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nSolid understanding of network communications and troubleshooting methodologies.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong customer service ability.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.\n\nCurrent Security+ certification.\n\nDesired:\nLinux training or hands-on Linux experience.\n\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
