Use design software to prepare plans, drawings and analytical models. Evaluate designs for feasibility.\nAnalyze critical elements or performance of the design using analytic tools, model scale and full scale testing, or prototyping as appropriate. Prepare reports of results and conclusions. Recommend and implement changes to designs based on conclusions.\nIdentify and apply regulatory and customer standards, commercial and military standards, as well as classification society rules, to ship designs and modifications.\nQualifications:\nRequired: \nBachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering\nExperience working with ship system performance assessment and prediction methods, especially utilizing computer assisted design (CAD) and computer aided engineering (CAE) software in the design process.\nStrong organization and time management skills.\nGood interpersonal skills to work with project teams and stakeholders.\nMust be a US citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.\nSkills in Microsoft Office\nGood written and verbal (English) communication skills.\nDesired:\nAbility to create drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in Rhinoceros 3D\nExperience using GHS, SHCP, or HECSTAB software\nTwo or more years of experience in US Navy or USCG ship design.\nThis position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
