The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in integrating, maintaining and\noptimizing our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and scalability. You will also be responsible for\nleveraging Puppet automation to streamline system provisioning, configuration, and management processes.\nMUST be willing to work onsite at Langley AFB and have an active/current TS/SCI. Applicants with demonstrated experience\nsupporting real-time 24/7/365 support in a shift work environment, highly desired. (Shift differential pay offered.)\n Responsibilities:\n1. Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and related software.\n2. Perform routine system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and\nperformance.\n3. Maintain Puppet manifests and modules to automate configuration and deployment tasks.\n4. Implement Puppet best practices to ensure efficient and consistent management of infrastructure resources.\n5. Perform version control and testing of Puppet code changes.\n6. Collaborate with other teams to provision and configure Linux servers to meet application and business requirements.\n7. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts and templates to facilitate server deployments.\n8. Install patches according to the Patch Management Plan leveraging Satellite and YUM.\n9. Respond and resolve service outages, technical queries and other system related issues.\n10. Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures and configurations.\n11. Train and assist other team members on Linux and job-related tasks.\n Qualifications:\nRequired:\nActive TS/SCI security clearance.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)\n\nMinimum 5 years of relevant IT work experience.\n\nSecurity + CE certification or equivalent.\n\nProven experience as a Linux Administrator with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.\n\nStrong proficiency in Puppet configuration management, including writing/maintaining Puppet manifests and modules.\n\nSolid understanding of Linux server virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker).\n\nKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python) for automation tasks.\n\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nDesired:\nMinimum of two year’s DCGS experience\n\nRelevant certification (e.g., RHCE, Puppet Certified Professional, Linux Essentials) are a plus.\n\nExperience with one or more of the following technologies: YUM, RedHat Satellite, Kickstart, Harbor, Kubernetes.\n\nExperience with shift work\n\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
