10%Type of Travel: Continental US* * * The Opportunity:\nCACI is seeking a hands-on Linux Systems Administrator III to join our Infrastructure Team supporting our family of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.\nSupport our end-to-end Linux environment, including engineering workstations, build servers, virtual machines, and production systems.\nApply your Linux expertise to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve mission-critical infrastructure.\nWork across Linux, virtualization, automation, containerization, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.\nIdentify and implement improvements that increase infrastructure reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild, configure, maintain, patch, and upgrade Linux bare-metal servers and virtual machines, primarily running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.\nIndependently troubleshoot complex issues across Linux workstations, servers, virtual machines, infrastructure appliances, storage, authentication, and network connectivity.\nAdminister and troubleshoot virtualization platforms including Proxmox and VMware vSphere.\nDevelop and maintain automation and configuration management solutions using Ansible and Puppet.\nConfigure, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux networking and supporting infrastructure services.\nImplement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and dashboards to proactively identify performance and availability issues.\nDesign and implement infrastructure improvements to increase reliability, fault tolerance, scalability, and performance.\nDeploy, administer, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Docker and Podman, and support Kubernetes environments.\nReview Nessus and other vulnerability scan results and remediate identified vulnerabilities through patching, configuration changes, and system hardening.\nCoordinate and perform recurring system updates, upgrades, and patching across development, test, and production environments.\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n\n5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience.\n\nStrong experience administering and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or similar enterprise Linux environments.\n\nExperience with Linux installation, configuration, patching, system hardening, and performance troubleshooting.\n\nExperience with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox and/or VMware vSphere.\n\nExperience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.\n\nExperience with container technologies including Docker and/or Podman.\n\nStrong working knowledge of Linux networking, DNS, storage, authentication, and system services.\n\nAbility to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across physical and virtual environments.\n\nActive Top Secret security clearance.\n\nDesired:\nSecurity+ certification.\n\nHands-on experience administering or supporting Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.\n\nExperience with infrastructure monitoring, centralized logging, CI/CD, or automated deployment environments.\n\nExperience supporting Linux infrastructure in classified, disconnected, or
