You will be responsible for producing tooling and related flight hardware within an integrated product team. It is expected you will work autonomously with moderate oversight and be accountable for both space flight and non-space flight development program milestone deliverables.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform mechanical design on multiple projects through all phases of product lifecycle and take direction on tasks from lead project mechanical engineers\nCreate part models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using Creo for solid modeling and PDMlink for data management\nRequirement implementation and minimizing costs\n Work with manufacturing personnel to assess and implement design for manufacturability (DFM) into design work\nComplete and conduct various program communications such as status reports, meetings, and peer reviews\nExecute engineering design changes for part and assembly drawings\nActively participating in project scheduling and budgeting\nValidate concepts through engineering models and prototypes\nInteract and coordinate with all engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive design, engineering, and specification packages\n\nQualifications:\nKnowledgeable computer skills and experience with cad software such as PTC Creo\nGood verbal/written communication and organizational skills.\nFundamental knowledge to understand the manufacturability of designs\nFundamental knowledge to plan and prioritize work to meet schedules and quality requirements\nMay be willing to work overtime when required to meet customer milestones\nMust display excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills\nKnowledgeable computer skills in MS office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nFamiliar in manufacturing and prototyping in an array of engineering materials\nFamiliar with conceptual and detailed cost estimating within engineering discipline, familiar with other disciplines a plus\nFamiliar to drive projects from initial concept through completion with minimal oversight\nAdaptable to varying assignments as the design team grows and client base increases both in location and job responsibilities\nGeneral PTC Creo skills with a commitment to best modeling practices\nGeneral understanding of GD&T \n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
