Moon Base, a vital component of Artemis, will serve as humanity’s first long-term outpost near the lunar South Pole, acting as “home base” for Artemis astronauts to live, work, and conduct science on the lunar surface.\nThis software engineering position involves the development of web and database applications for generating flight software data products to configure the data-driven flight software. The position also includes working with a team of developers, interacting with users, developing, and prioritizing new features based on customer needs, customer service, managing schedule, and supporting presentations and demonstrations.\nThis position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise, and be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner. The individual must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program and share in the excitement of developing the next human-rated space vehicles.\nThis work takes place at NASA/JSC in Houston, TX, a highly stimulating and dynamic environment that is critical in human space flight and the space exploration initiative.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop Space System Data Models and Data Production Services web and database applications and APIs.\nDevelop new software features based on customer needs.\nPerform testing to ensure requirements are being met.\nPerform troubleshooting of Galactic Data Services discrepancies.\nAdhere to JSC standard software process practices.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to facilitate access to USG facilities.\nB.S. in Computer Science; Computer, Software, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or related discipline required.\nFull stack developer with at least one to two years of related experience including directly applicable internships.
