of Travel: None* * *The Opportunity:\nCACI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD, supporting critical intelligence systems and our nation's intelligence capabilities.\nProvide technical expertise across all aspects of network management, including network design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.\nAnalyze network designs, specifications, and related technical documentation to support operational requirements.\nImplement communication system requirements that support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment.\nDevelop and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure network infrastructure to support mission-critical operations.\nCollaborate with technical teams to enhance network performance, security, and operational efficiency.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, including new network layouts and infrastructure upgrades.\nDesign and support network configurations to meet operational and technical requirements.\nInstall, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.\nInstall, configure, and maintain network software.\nImplement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve network connectivity, performance, and operational issues.\nMonitor network health and performance to ensure reliability and availability.\nAnalyze network traffic patterns to identify potential performance issues and opportunities for improvement.\nImprove network visibility through performance metrics, monitoring tools, and alerting capabilities.\nSupport network maintenance activities, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.\nCreate, update, and maintain network documentation, policies, procedures, and technical specifications.\nEnsure network solutions align with communication system requirements and support the distributed software engineering environment.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nTS/SCI with Polygraph\nMinimum of 12 years of experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer within the last 3 years.\nBachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology from an accredited college or university.\nFour additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\nProficiency with Linux operating systems.\nCCNA or CCNP certification.\nSecurity+ certification.\nExperience supporting network design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.\nKnowledge of network infrastructure, communication systems, and network troubleshooting.\nDesired:\nHands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, including Palo Alto firewalls.\nExperience supporting Dell and HPE Linux servers, including Linux system administration, patching, and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.\nWorking knowledge of Ansible and SALT scripts for automation and configuration management.\nFamiliarity with Nutanix for virtual machine management, Rubrik for data storage, and Nomad containers.\nExperience using LibreNMS and NetBox
