The Operating System Deployment Engineer would be responsible for both physical and virtual servers and workstations, as well as the associated networking, storage, and security. \nThis position reports to the technical lead and team-level program manager.\nWhat you’ll get to do:\nSupport the design, including software configuration, of the management of the images, tool integration, and deployment of both physical and virtual server images. \nDesign with a holistic view of the enterprise to ensure cost, performance, networking, storage, and security are considered\nDevelop automation scripts to enhance the delivery, security, and performance of operating systems\nTroubleshooting performance issues across the organization\nSupport both Windows and Windows Server OSs\nProvide tier 3 support to system administrators as needed Qualifications: Required: \nUS Citizenship required\nActive DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain\n10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).\nA proven track record designing implementing and maintaining operating system images and their deployment methods in a large enterprise. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, \nMust have experience and understanding in the following areas: - Systems administration in Windows Server environments (Associate Level administration experience). - Application/package management and operating system deployment/configuration management with technologies such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM), Intune, and Autopilot - Customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues - VMWare/Hyper-V administration experience. - Securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-27, NIST 800-137, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions - Log management, troubleshooting network appliance and firewall issues, and testing - Agile/Kanban, Git/GitHub - Configuring and STIG/JSIG of Windows 11, Windows Server 2022/2025 Desired: \nExperience with ServiceNow, DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines and Azure Repos \nExperience creating and analyzing PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, JAVA based, YAML and/or Python scripts\nRelevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g., Network +, Security+, Microsoft, AWS, VMware, CISSP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-Security, etc.) \nOne (1) of the following certifications: Azure Administrator, Azure Hybrid Administrator, Endpoint Administrator Associate\nExperience with Azure Cloud Computing\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
