As part of CACI's Spectrum Superiority Line of Business, AVT manufactures best-in-class gyro-stabilized Gimbal systems designed for a wide variety of applications. Our pioneering systems support airborne, ground, and maritime missions around the world. We specialize in fully integrated solutions for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and counter drone operations for the defense and aerospace industry.\nAs a Production Engineer, you will support the successful introduction, production, and continuous improvement of the EO/IR imaging systems product lines. This role will focus on developing robust manufacturing processes, improving quality and efficiency, supporting test strategy and implementation, and driving operational excellence on the production floor. This position requires strong technical problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a hands-on approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges.\nResponsibilities:\nPartner with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Management teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and product manufacturing.\nSupport process improvements and equipment upgrades to increase production efficiency and consistency.\nTrack and report key performance indicators such as first pass yield, cycle time, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain manufacturing work instructions.\nConduct root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive actions for manufacturing and test-related issues.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.\nIdentify and implement process improvements that increase throughput, reduce cost, improve yield, and enhance product quality.\nEnsure compliance with ESD ANSI 20.20 and internal QMS standards.\nCollaborate with Product, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to align designs with production capability and product forecasts.\nParticipate in ECO/ECR processes and Material Review Boards to support engineering changes and continuous improvement.\nDesign, build, and implement production tooling and fixtures as needed.\nProvide hands-on support for prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electro-optical assemblies.\n Qualifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nProficiency in ERP, PLM, and MES systems (Infor preferred).\nExperience in CAD modeling for production tooling and fixturing.\nHands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electro-optical assemblies.\nKnowledge of BOM management, revision control, and documentation best practices.\nFamiliarity with ECR/ECO processes and cross-functional collaboration in a production environment.\nAbility to identify and implement manufacturing process improvements.\nExcellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.\nDesired:\n5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically manufacturing or production engineering.\nAdvanced proficiency in Infor ERP systems.\nCertifications in Lean and Six Sigma.\nExperience working in optics/photonics or electro-optical assemblies.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
