Our products include both optical and RF systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems. CACI is comprised of a team of highly experienced engineers and scientists who work in tight-knit groups on state-of-the-art projects while enjoying a good work-life balance. We are currently looking for Quality Control to monitor and control the production process to ensure that the final product meets specific quality standards.\nThis would be a temporary position for 6 to 12 months.\nThe Opportunity:\nInspect and determine acceptability of custom fabricated mechanical parts and electrical assemblies (PCBAs and cables) using industry-appropriate methods and standards (e.g. IPC-A-610, JSTD-001, MIL-STD, etc.), measuring dimensions and examining functionality.\nAble to use engineering drawings or process documentation to perform inspections. Execute first article inspections of newly released designs.\nPerform incoming, in-process, final and pre-ship inspections in manufacturing and/or shipping ensuring product conformance to internal and external standards. Ensure the integrity of the end-item-data-package (EIDP) for delivered hardware.\nRecord inspection results by completing reports, summarizing results, and adding data into the quality management system database; Communicate inspection results and offer continual improvement suggestions \nGenerate nonconformance reports and perform minor dispositioning for reworks or scrap.\nExecute process audits in the production or inspection areas.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements to improve overall quality\nOther duties as assigned by your direct supervisor\n\nQualifications:\n3+ years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mech inspection for an electronics manufacturer; working in the aerospace & defense industry\nPrevious experience with satellites or other flight hardware a plus\nExperience inspecting mechanical and electrical (PCBAs, cables, etc..) items\nExperience inspecting optical parts (lenses, mirrors, prisms) a plus\nAble to use standard measurement and inspection tools including pin gauges, calipers, visual inspection system, microscope, etc.\nAbility to obtain certifications to J-STD 001, IPC-610, and IPC-620 \nKnowledge of ESD S20.20 and generally accepted good practice for ESD control\nOrganized.
