As a Senior Network Engineer, you will architect, implement, and secure advanced network solutions across diverse, mission-critical environments. You’ll lead onsite surveys, drive secure design development, oversee deployment execution, and ensure resilient, high-availability connectivity that meets demanding SLAs.\nIf you thrive in complex operational settings and take pride in building networks that never fail when it matters most, this role is for you.\nResponsibilities\nIn this senior-level role, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for full-lifecycle network modernization:\nNetwork Architecture & Design\nDevelop end-to-end network architectures for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband platforms.\n\nProduce topology diagrams, design packages, and technical artifacts that meet or exceed connectivity, availability, reliability, and security SLAs.\n\nLead the creation of preliminary and final SPRIP documentation.\n\nSite Surveys & Assessments\nConduct comprehensive site surveys to evaluate infrastructure, environmental factors, and mission constraints.\n\nIdentify optimal hardware, software, and configuration strategies for modernization efforts.\n\nDeployment Leadership\nDirect installation activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards and base operating requirements.\n\nOversee configuration, turn-up, and cutover events in coordination with base Communications Squadrons and cybersecurity teams.\n\nEnsure installed systems meet STIG requirements and align with all applicable DAF policies.\n\nRouting, Security & Network Management\nDesign and implement routing policies using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.\n\nDevelop secure network, system, and application architectures.\n\nCreate cyber artifacts including diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, PPS matrices, and POA&Ms.\n\nImplement and support SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration, and related network-management solutions.\n\nOperational Handover & Support\nDeliver Over-the-Shoulder Training (OST) to O&M teams post-deployment.\n\nAssist with troubleshooting and issue resolution after system cutover.\n\nPrepare or contribute to program deliverables and performance metrics.\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 7 years of experience; OR High school diploma or associate degree plus 9+ years supporting large, complex networks.\n\nTechnical Requirements:\nExtensive experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.\n\nProven leadership in developing network designs, policies, and upgrade plans.\n\nHands-on experience implementing routing technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).\n\nExperience creating cyber and compliance artifacts (STIGs, POA&Ms, PPS, data flows).\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex hardware/software/network issues.\n\nClearance:\nSecret eligible at minimum.\n\nDesired:\nTools & Software:\nProficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and AutoCAD.\n\nCertifications:\nCCNP or equivalent.\n\nCompTIA Security+ (or higher).\n\nProfessional Skills:\nStrong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with customers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.\n\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
