and possess advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the area of technical expertise.\nPerform engineering tasking as a member of a technical team.\nPerform tasking which includes a combination of complex features, which frequently involve serious conflicts between engineering and management requirements while routinely applying intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a broad area of assignment and related fields.\nProvide substantial analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions to ill-defined problem statements; devise and recommend alternative methods of standard analysis as a basis for solving problems.\nSolve problems, generally without discussion of background and approach, and without the solution being reviewed for technical accuracy and conformance to policy.\nApply a thorough knowledge of a variety of standard guides, precedents, methods, and techniques while using standard engineering principles, methods, and practices.\nAdapt practices and techniques to specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies and deviations in the results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.\nActively collaborate within a team-based environment to plan cooperative activities and to devise concerted approaches to problems.\nCoordinate and maintain liaison with organizations having related assignments, including local and national government peers, commercial equipment manufacturers, and commercial defense contractors.\nProvide and assist in data collection, integration, statistical analysis and review of system performance data from both test/evaluation and operational environments; includes data organization and visualization including briefing material preparation in support of internal and external presentations and reviews.\nProvide database support both developing and maintaining databases.\nAnalyze the function of systems and support services for achieving the essential functions at the lowest overall cost of ownership consistent with the required performance, reliability, maintainability, availability, interchangeability, product quality assurance and safety.\nYou’ll Bring These Qualifications (Required)\nU.S. Citizenship (required to obtain a DoD Secret clearance)\nInterim or Active Secret Clearance prior to start\nBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline\nEffective communication both orally and in writing. \nEffective teamwork and collaboration across program’s functional teams\nExperience with Navy Cybersecurity directives and guidance\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nQualifications per SECNAV M-5239 Cyberspace Information Security and Cybersecurity Workforce Management and Qualification Manual Minimum CSWF Requirements: IT Support/Computer Technician: Specialty Area- 42; Proficiency Level- Journeyman (minimum certification requirement must be met prior to performance on this TI and maintained throughout performance of the TI.) CEUs shall be reviewed and reported monthly to the NSWC Crane Code 104 Sharepoint tool.\nYou will be required to complete DAU course WSA 001, DevSecOps for the DoD: Fundamentals, training within 120 business days of start.
