Based in Hanover, MD, this mission-driven work spans program management, software development, systems engineering, testing, integration, migration, documentation, and release management. As a Software Engineer on the ClassifyIT team, you will help enhance and extend classification-marking tools that support both existing mission systems and emerging M365-based applications. You’ll contribute to full-lifecycle development and collaborate with a talented team focused on delivering secure, policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and document software capabilities that support classification marking and access-control validation.\n\nExtend and customize tools for classification string validation, comparison, and enforcement.\n\nWork with a team of developers to implement new features for current and M365-based classification tools.\n\nParticipate fully in requirements elicitation, technical discussions, and decision-making throughout the software lifecycle.\n\nCollaborate closely in an established team environment and work directly with customers when needed\n\nContribute to the creation and execution of functional tests, unit tests, and code reviews.\n\nTroubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nTS/SCI clearance with polygraph\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or 4 years of additional software engineering experience in lieu of degree, totaling 7 years)\n\n3+ years of software engineering experience\n\nStrong working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, TypeScript, Node.js/npm\n\nExperience with AWS services and dashboards\n\nHands-on experience using Docker (including converting applications to Docker images)\n\nExperience with Git (command line), GitLab CI, and GitLab pipelines\n\nFamiliarity with Jest and Cypress\n\nExperience developing unit and functional tests\n\nExperience conducting code reviews\n\nAbility to work directly with customers and within established team processes\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills\n\nAbility to follow coding standards and team policies\n\nDesired\nExperience gathering, analyzing, and capturing customer requirements\n\nAbility to contribute to requirements for new features and defect fixes\n\nExperience creating and expanding unit tests\n\nKnowledge of the Microsoft Office JavaScript API\n\nAbility to triage, track, and respond to user questions and issues\n\nExperience testing new software releases and merge requests\n\nExperience collaborating with developers, contractors, and Government stakeholders\n\nAbility to contribute to high-level documentation and user guides\n\nStrong time-management skills\n\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
