The MI team operates a business intelligence platform that enables enterprise-wide, data driven decision making. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the reliability, availability, and quality of this mission critical platform. You will also contribute to the MI team as a system engineer, software engineer and analytic developer where you will design, develop, and integrate solutions involving the analysis of large data sets to establish mission cognizance and deliver mission-centric insights.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets.\nDesign and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data.\nAugment the platform with new tools or technologies.\nGather stakeholder requirements, assess available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics.\nBreak down tasks into actionable steps that demonstrate consistent progress.\nRemove technical obstacles, manage expectations, and support team execution.\nDefine and communicate task scope through clear documentation and tracking systems.\nEnable the team to integrate site reliability engineering practices into the operational platform.\nMentor and guide junior software engineers and data scientists.\nProduce project management materials such as agendas, meeting notes, and design decision records.\nSkills Requirements: Experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms.\nStrong Java development skills.\nFamiliarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards.\nExperience with service containerization and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with Git for software version control.\nExperience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).\nCustomer service mindset.\nExperience leading technical teams.\nEffective interpersonal skills for collaborating across diverse backgrounds and skill sets.\nExperience or exposure to site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.\nWillingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation. Qualifications: Required:\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.\n20 years of experience as a Lead Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity (or 16 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree).\nProven experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
