Working under the direction of senior engineers, this individual will assist with automated build, testing, packaging, deployment, monitoring, and release activities; support Linux and containerized environments; and help maintain repeatable deployment configurations and technical documentation.\nThe position requires foundational DevOps knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes, along with an interest in expanding those skills while supporting an integrated enterprise solution across varied customer environments.\nResponsibilities\nSupport continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automated builds, testing, artifact packaging, and release activities.\nAssist with the deployment and sustainment of containerized applications in Kubernetes environments under the guidance of senior engineers.\nMaintain configuration files, scripts, deployment manifests, repositories, and version-controlled engineering artifacts.\nHelp configure and troubleshoot workloads, services, namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, storage, networking, and access controls.\nMonitor pipeline and deployment results; review logs and system health information; document issues; and support corrective actions.\nAssist with container and dependency scanning, vulnerability remediation tracking, software bills of materials, and release evidence.\nSupport DISA and other DoW customer deployment activities by collecting environment information, executing documented procedures, and escalating technical issues.\nDevelop and maintain setup instructions, deployment checklists, troubleshooting notes, release documentation, and other technical guides.\nQualifications\nRequired\nTS/SCI clearance with polygraph.\nSeven years of experience as a systems engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nA bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.\nDoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher, if the COR determines that the position's activities include CWIP activities.\nFive years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\nDesired\nExperience with RKE2, Rancher, Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes package configuration, or single- and multi-namespace deployments.\nFamiliarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable automation and infrastructure tools.\nExposure to security scanning, vulnerability management, software bills of materials, artifact signing, container registries, or software supply chain practices.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, JSON, PKI, mutual TLS, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or enterprise identity and access management concepts.\nExperience supporting classified, disconnected, air-gapped, or otherwise restricted customer environments.\nExperience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, or Git-based repositories to manage work and technical documentation.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
