This dual-role position combines with hands-on hardware/software integration across multi-platform, multi-vendor environments.\nYou will collaborate closely with the software integration team, Army stakeholders, RF technology vendors, and cross-functional engineering groups to ensure interoperability, mission-ready performance, and reliable field deployment of critical systems. This role spans end-to-end integration-hardware provisioning, system configuration, dataflow integration, network architecture alignment, software deployment, and secure system sustainment.\nResponsibilities:\nSystems Administration\nInstall, configure, secure, and maintain Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server and workstation environments.\nManage Active Directory services, account management, GPOs, and authentication controls.\nPerform OS/application patching, STIG compliance remediation, RMF alignment, and vulnerability updates.\nDeploy and maintain virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, cloud-hosted equivalents).\nMonitor logs, system performance, bandwidth usage, and security alerts; optimize reliability in constrained environments.\nProvide Tier II/III support to end users and mission operators, including troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.\nImplement disaster recovery practices, backups, and secure configuration baselines.\nSystems Integration (Hardware, Software, RF, Networking)\nProvision hardware for software installation, including servers, network gear, RF receivers, sensors, storage, and tactical computing systems.\nIntegrate multi-component systems (hardware/software/RF/networking) across tactical, fixed, and mobile platforms following Army-standard drawing packages.\nConfigure end-to-end network configurations, interfaces, protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast), DNS, DHCP, and routing in bandwidth-constrained environments.\nAlign integration and deployment activities with Army baseline standards to ensure RF receiver interoperability.\nConduct system-level validation of integrated configurations; test hardware/software compatibility; resolve dependency conflicts, interface mismatches, and performance issues.\nCombine components from multiple vendors into unified, repeatable, secure mission solutions.\nSoftware Deployment & Configuration\nIntegrate, test, deploy, and sustain thick-client, web-based, and software applications.\nOversee OS installations and secure network migrations.\nInstall, configure, test, and troubleshoot Army mission applications, including RF-enabled or receiver-dependent software stacks.\nEnsure timely deployment of patches, updates, change packages, and security fixes while minimizing operational disruption.\nMaintain configuration consistency, version control, environment alignment, and deployment automation best practices.\nTesting, Documentation & Field Support\nSupport internal and external test events verifying mission capability prior to fielding to operational units.\nConduct integration testing, functional testing, acceptance testing, RF signal-flow validation, and architecture verification.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration procedures, troubleshooting steps, wiring diagrams, and dataflow/interface specifications.\nProvide on-site installation, validation, operator guidance, and direct support to unit leaders, stakeholders, and government customers.\nShare best practices within integration teams; contribute to continuous process improvement.\n Qualifications:\nRequired:\nDeploy and maintain virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, cloud-hosted equivalents).\nProvide Tier II/III support to end users and mission operators, including troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.\nProvision hardware for software installation, including servers, network gear, RF receivers, sensors, storage, and tactical computing systems.\nConduct system-level validation of integrated configurations; test hardware/software compatibility; resolve dependency conflicts, interface mismatches, and performance issues.\nInstall, configure, test, and troubleshoot Army mission applications, including RF-enabled or receiver-dependent software stacks.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration procedures, troubleshooting steps, wiring diagrams, and dataflow/interface specifications.\nProvide on-site installation, validation, operator guidance, and direct support to unit leaders, stakeholders, and government customers.\nInstall, configure, secure, and maintain Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server and workstation environments.\nActive TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance\nMust currently hold a DoD 8140-compliant IAT Level II certification such as: CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security or GSEC.\nEducation & Experience:\nOne of the following:\n3+ yeas of full time experience plus a Bachelors degree\n4+ years of full time experience plus an Associates degree\n6+ years of full time experience with no degree\nDesired:\nWAN/LAN troubleshooting, routers, switches, firewall configuration.\nServer rack integration, cable routing, physical installation.\nTier III support experience & ability to guide end users.\nFamiliarity with Army baselines and tactical computing systemsDataflow technologies (NiFi, ActiveMQ).\nSQL/NoSQL database experience.\nThis position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
