You’ll help shape a secure, scalable, and high-performing Tableau platform that empowers users across the organization. This role offers the chance to collaborate with SAP experts, data engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and business leaders to deliver reliable, compliant, and impactful data visualization capabilities. \nResponsibilities:\nAs a Tableau Administrator, you will:\nAdminister and maintain Tableau Server across development, test, and production environments, including installation, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.\nManage user provisioning, authentication, permissions, and access controls to ensure secure and compliant data access.\nConfigure and support SSO/LDAP integrations and identity provider workflows to streamline authorized user onboarding.\nOversee Tableau license management (Creator, Explorer, Viewer), troubleshooting allocation and connectivity issues.\nSupport published data sources and workbooks, including extract scheduling, credential management, and connectivity troubleshooting.\nMonitor system performance, logs, availability, and failed jobs; proactively resolve operational issues.\nIntegrate Tableau with SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP BW ODBO connectivity.\nMaintain connectors, service accounts, and SAP data access mechanisms, ensuring stable integration and resolving connectivity issues.\nDevelop and enforce governance standards for workbook promotion, naming conventions, documentation, and security best practices.\nCoordinate security, audit, backup, recovery, and compliance requirements with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.\nSupport migrations of workbooks, data sources, and projects between environments.\nCreate and maintain runbooks, SOPs, support guides, and technical documentation.\nProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for incidents, service requests, and problem resolution, including coordination with Tableau and SAP Support.\nAssist users with publishing, scheduling, extract management, and best practices; offer training for analytics teams.\nCollaborate with Agile delivery teams, participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release activities.\nRecommend improvements for platform scalability, reliability, automation, and overall operational excellence.\nQualifications:\nRequired: \nActive U.S. DoD Secret Clearance\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.\n5+ years of experience in application or analytics platform administration, business intelligence, or related technical support roles.\nAbility to meet DoD 8140 requirements.\nHands-on experience administering Tableau Server and supporting Tableau Desktop users in an enterprise environment.\nStrong understanding of: • Tableau Server configuration and maintenance • User/security administration • Extract scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting • Performance tuning and issue resolution\nWorking knowledge of SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BTP) and SAP-integrated analytics.\nExperience supporting integrations with SAP data sources, ETL processes, or enterprise data pipelines.\nFamiliarity with authentication technologies such as Okta, Active Directory, SSO/LDAP, or enterprise identity management.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nUnderstanding of federal IT security standards and ability to operate in classified or controlled environments.\nDesired:\nExperience in DoD, federal, or highly regulated environments.\nTableau certifications (e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Tableau Server Certified Associate).\nFamiliarity with Tableau SAP connector configurations, including SAP BW ODBO 64-bit driver setup.\nExperience integrating Tableau Server with Okta SSO in enterprise or federal environments.\nBackground supporting analytics in financial, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or SAP ERP domains.\nExperience with cloud or hybrid Tableau environments, including Tableau Cloud.\nKnowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, or similar monitoring and ticketing systems.\nExposure to Agile frameworks such as SAFe.\nExperience with Tableau Prep Builder for SAP-integrated data pipelines.\nWorking knowledge of relational databases and SQL for troubleshooting and performance optimization.\n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
