We are looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated Virtual Infrastructure Systems Engineers to enable AFRICOM mission objectives. \nResponsibilities:\nThe Virtual Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, operations, and maintenance of data-center virtual infrastructure across a geographically dispersed enterprise network supporting AFRICOM operations. Key duties include: \nDesigning, documenting, building, integrating, implementing, and testing virtual infrastructure solutions \nPerforming ongoing operations and maintenance of the virtual infrastructure environment \nProviding training and knowledge transfer to support the successful transition of systems to IT Operations Management \nAnalyzing hardware and software lifecycle requirements and recommending standardization approaches across the enterprise \nEvaluating and recommending best practice solutions for data-center and virtual infrastructure technologies \nProviding remote technical support and on-site support as required in Djibouti and other locations throughout the Horn of Africa \nRequired Qualifications\nClearance\nCurrently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance\nEducation & Experience\nRelevant major certification + 7 years of recent specialized experience\nCertification\nVMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) and/or VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator (VCP-VCF) \nCompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II or greater)\nTechnical Skills & Experience\nStrong engineering background in design, implementation, migration, operations, and maintenance of enterprise data-center technologies \nStrong knowledge of end-to-end lifecycle management for Cisco, VMware, and NetApp hardware and software, including planning, upgrades, patching, licensing, maintenance, and refresh activities. \nHands-on experience with the following technologies: \nCisco Nexus products \nCisco UCS, UCS Manager, and Fabric Interconnects \nNetApp storage solutions, SAN configurations, and SnapMirror \nVMware vSphere / ESXi \nDemonstrated experience with private cloud virtualization and virtual networking in VMware environments \nAbility to analyze complex technical environments and recommend optimal solutions for performance, scalability, lifecycle management, and standardization \nCommunication & Collaboration Skills\nWrites and speaks clearly \nPresent products, solutions, and ideas in a professional, business-like manner \nExperience interfacing with customers, project managers, clients, and system stakeholders \nWorks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires strong team interaction and coordination of efforts \nDesired:\nExperience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) in a Cisco FlexPod environment.\nITIL v3 or v4 Foundation \nCisco Data Center certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher) \nNetApp Certification \nProficiency in PowerShell scripting \nExperience evaluating and integrating new technologies into existing environments \nDemonstrated background troubleshooting complex IT issues \nUnderstanding of Department of Defense military standards and DoD IT security requirements \nAdaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs \n-What You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
