The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting automation solutions that accelerate network delivery, improve operational efficiency, and reduce risk across enterprise network environments.\nThis role combines strong networking expertise with software development and DevOps practices, requiring close collaboration with Network Engineering, Architecture, Operations, and Product teams to design and implement innovative NetDevOps capabilities. A key aspect of the role is working directly with engineering stakeholders to identify, define, and deliver new NetDevOps features that improve network lifecycle management and automation adoption.\n\nKey Responsibilities \nNetwork Automation & Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Python and Ansible.\nBuild self-service automation capabilities for network provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational tasks.\nDevelop integrations with network management platforms, IPAM systems, ticketing systems, CMDBs, and monitoring platforms.\nCreate reusable automation frameworks, APIs, and tooling to support enterprise network operations.\nDevelop automated testing solutions for network changes and deployments.\n\nDevOps & Platform Engineering\nManage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity.\nMaintain source control repositories and branch strategies using Git.\nDevelop, test, and debug code using Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code.\nImplement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code best practices.\nAutomate software validation, deployment, and rollback procedures.\nSupport containerized and cloud-native automation workflows where appropriate.\n\nCollaboration with Engineering Teams\nWork closely with Network Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and operational challenges.\nLiaise directly with engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and develop new NetDevOps features.\n\nOperational Excellence\nImprove platform reliability, scalability, and performance through automation.\nDevelop monitoring, reporting, and health-check capabilities for network services.\nCreate documentation, technical standards, support guides, and operational runbooks.\nSupport troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities across automation platforms and network infrastructure.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nNetworking\nStrong understanding of enterprise networking principles.\nExperience with technologies such as: \nCisco\nArista\nFortinet\nF5\nInfoblox\nRouting & Switching\nNetwork Security\n\nAutomation & Development\nExpert-level Python development.\nStrong Ansible automation experience.\nExperience developing REST API integrations.\nExperience with software development best practices and coding standards.\nExperience with JSON, YAML, XML, and data transformation.\n\nDevOps Tooling\nHands-on experience with: \nTeamCity\nGit\nVisual Studio / Visual Studio Code\nCI/CD pipeline development\nSource control management\nAutomated testing frameworks\n\nLinux & Systems\nAdvanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience working in enterprise development and automation environments.\nUnderstanding of containers and modern development workflows.\n\nExpected behaviours\nWe have a structured performance management framework which measures continual attainment against key personal behaviours.
