Whether it’s business intelligence, customer marketing, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, critical national infrastructure or data management, our approach is never one-size-fits-all.\nWe don’t just deliver solutions; we build for the tomorrow’s world, all while fostering a culture that allows employees to be their authentic selves and succeed in their careers.\n\nAbout Network Services\nCACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities.\nThe role\nA Senior Network Engineer is required to join the India Deployment Team, responsible for the deployment and planning of our customers network infrastructure.\nThe team is responsible for the delivery and deployment of network/security projects and requests to enhance the client’s infrastructure to meet current and future business demands.\n\nKey responsibilities\nPlan, manage and deploy technology changes to support DC services\nDeploy LAN infrastructure to support end user services requirements\nIncludes patching schedules for facilities to cable network equipment\nDiagrams for Network Operations\nInventory management\nCreate implementation plans for RFC’s to a high level of detail.\nCorrectly document pre and post checks for change verification purposes\nUnderstand and document back out plans, clearly identifying back out points.\nIdentify points of no return\nSupport the stability and uptime of essential services by planning changes with a documented best approach mind set.\nIdentify where changes can be complete with zero downtime to hosted services.\nPlan and implement changes with a cost effective resource strategy.\n\nIdentify, understand and document change risks and mitigation tactics.\nIdentify, understand and document impact of planned technology changes, including documentation expected output from verification.\nDocument network estate for Operation Support and to support change planning\nMaintain infrastructure database\nComplete network diagrams to a high standard.\nPeer review and validation of technical deployment plans\nProvide constructive feedback to peers to support change control requirement and maintain high standards of detail and quality offered by CACI.\n\nCore skills, knowledge and experience required\nGood level of Cisco Routing & Switching\nProficient with multiple routing methods, route summarization.\nDesigns medium enterprise routing domains.\nExperience working on Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms. \nExperience in configuring VLAN trunking, EtherChannel, Layer 2 redundancy.\nDesigns Layer 2 topology to avoid loops, tuning STP for large networks.\nDesigns medium to large enterprise switching networks.\nAbility to handle numerous separate projects concurrently\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.\nAble to implement BGP policies, communities, route maps.\nEnterprise LAN, WAN and Data Centre architectures\nNetwork migration and transformation projects\nAnalyse, review and understand network topologies.\nExperience in designing rack layouts, structured cabling for medium DCs.\nAble to implement BGP/OSPF within data centres.\nDesigns hybrid DC connectivity (MPLS, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).\nDesigns large enterprise/global WAN, hybrid routing.\nCoordinate multiple projects, change management and governance efficiently working both independently and as a member of a team.\nKnowledge of EVPN and VXLAN\nGood understanding of networking principles.\nGood customer facing skills with the ability to keep the customer informed at all times and understand their requirements\n\nDesirable skills (not essential)\nAutomation / scripting experience in python\n\nExpected behaviours\nWe have a structured performance management framework which measures continual attainment against key personal behaviours.
