Due to some exciting growth within our Defence business, we are interested in speaking with an experienced Solution / Technical Architect.\n\nRole Location:\n\nDue to the nature of the work, this role will require regular weekly visits to our customers sites in Bristol and/or Corsham.\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\nAs a Solutions Architect working on a range of Software, Infrastructure & Network Solutions, you will take a leading role in the delivery team, from defining/assessing high level technical architectures to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines. You will oversee the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; Infrastructure / software implementation and delivery; training and support and maintenance. Key responsibilities include:\nDrafting technical Statements of Requirements for networks, applications and platform solutions\nDefining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements\nProduction of high- and low-level technical & operating model designs\nProviding consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems\nUsing a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components\nDeploying software systems to a mixture of environments including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud\nManaging relationships with our customers\nEnsuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an everchanging technology landscape\nProviding leadership and support to delivery team members as required\n\nThe Fit:\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Architect who has proven experience working with the MOD to design, assess and implement large-scale, cloud native applications and platform solutions. Additionally we are looking for experience of:\nCreating technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.\nDesign and Implementation of solutions to support digital transformation and the modernisation of IT Infrastructure and services\nLeading enterprise architecture planning and strategy.\nProduction of high & low level technical designs.\nTaking accountability for key project deliverables.\nLeading technical engagement with senior users / customers.\n\nDue to the industries we work in, we would prefer applicants to currently hold high level security clearance.
