This role brings together aeroelasticity, structural dynamics and scientific software development. You will translate engineering methods into robust, practical simulation tools.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDevelop and validate methods for aeroelastic analysis, including flutter, gust response, and aerodynamic-structural coupling.\nImplement numerical methods in production-quality scientific software.\nApply finite element models, modal methods, and structural dynamics formulations to aeroelastic problems.\nDevelop automated tests and take part in software verification and validation.\nCollaborate with aerospace engineers and software development teams.\nJob Qualifications:\nTo succeed in this role, you will bring:\nMSc, Ph.D., or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Computational Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong foundation in aeroelasticity and structural dynamics.\nExperience developing scientific or engineering software using C++, Fortran, Python, or a similar programming language.\nAdditional Skills/Preferences:\nExperience in one or more of the following is beneficial but not required:\nFlutter, gust response, aeroservoelasticity, or dynamic aeroelasticity.\nPanel methods, Doublet Lattice Method (DLM), Vortex Lattice Method (VLM), or generalized aerodynamic forces.\nFinite element methods, modal analysis, vibration, or dynamic response.\nReduced-order modeling, nonlinear aeroelasticity, or aerothermoelasticity.\nAerospace simulation tools such as MSC Nastran, ZAERO, Abaqus, or equivalent.\n\nAdditional Information:\nTeam: you will collaborate with aerospace engineers and software development teams.\nLanguages and tools: C++, Fortran, Python or similar, plus the simulation tools\n\nCheck what we can offer you:\nCompetitive salary\n25 days holiday per year\nPrivate Medical and Dental plans, Income Protection and Life Insurance\nGroup Personal Pension Plan\nCycle to work scheme and gym subsidy\n5 days paid time to volunteer to give back to our communities\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan\nThe opportunity to work for a Great Place to Work© & Fortune 100 organization\n\nCadence is committed to equal employment opportunity and employment equity throughout all levels of the organization.
