This role serves as a technical authority and architect for cloud infrastructure platforms that power mission-critical workloads across EDA, Systems design, AI/ML, and high-performance computing environments.\nThe ideal candidate brings hands-on engineering depth, strong systems thinking, and a proven track record of leading complex cloud platform initiatives-from architecture through production operations-while mentoring senior engineers and influencing platform strategy across the organization. Experience with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and the emerging Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO) model is a strong advantage.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCloud Platform Architecture & Strategy\nDefine and implement reference architectures for private cloud (OpenStack), container platforms (OpenShift), and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.\n\nContribute towards architectural decisions for compute, storage, networking, and control plane services at scale.\n\nEnsure platform consistency, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence across regions and data centers.\n\nEvaluate and guide adoption of emerging cloud, container, and IaaS technologies aligned with business and platform strategy.\n\nPrivate Cloud & OpenStack Leadership:\nServe as a technical expert for OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, Heat, Octavia, etc.).\n\nMonitor, maintain, and optimize OpenStack deployments for performance, availability, upgradeability, and lifecycle management.\n\nLead complex upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions with minimal customer impact.\n\nDefine best practices for multi-tenant isolation, quota management, and SLA-driven design.\n\nContainer Platform & OpenShift Engineering:\nDesign, deploy, and operate OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters supporting containerized and cloud-native workloads.\n\nManage cluster lifecycle including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and patching.\n\nImplement best practices for container networking, storage integration, RBAC, and workload isolation.\n\nIntegrate OpenShift platforms with underlying OpenStack and bare-metal infrastructure.\n\nContribute to adoption and operations of RHOSO (Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift), where the OpenStack control plane runs on OpenShift.\n\nPublic Cloud & Hybrid Cloud Integration:\nDesign and integrate workloads across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP alongside private cloud platforms.\n\nEstablish patterns for hybrid networking, identity federation, and workload portability.\n\nProvide technical guidance on cloud-native and IaaS-based workload placement decisions.\n\nInfrastructure Engineering & Automation\nDevelop infrastructure-as-code and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nPromote platform standardization, self-service provisioning, and repeatable operational workflows.\n\nPerform SRE and operations activities to improve observability, reliability, and incident response.\n\nPerformance, Scale & Reliability\nPerform root cause analysis for complex platform issues across compute, network, storage, and container layers.\n\nOptimize cloud and container platforms for high-performance workloads, including AI/ML, batch, and HPC-style systems.\n\nMonitor and improve key reliability, performance, and capacity metrics.\n\nTechnical Leadership & Collaboration\nAct as a senior technical authority across cloud and infrastructure teams.\n\nMentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization.\n\nInfluence roadmap priorities through deep technical insight and clear communication with engineering and technical leaders.\n\nPartner closely with security, networking, hardware, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience\n8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale platform engineering.\n\nDeep, hands-on experience with OpenStack in production environments.\n\nHands-on experience deploying and operating OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters in production.\n\nProven experience designing and operating large-scale private and hybrid cloud platforms.\n\nDemonstrated leadership on complex, cross-team infrastructure initiatives.\n\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong knowledge of:\nOpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc.)\n\nOpenShift/Kubernetes container orchestration and cluster operations\n\nLinux systems and virtualization (KVM)\n\nSoftware-defined networking (SDN), L2/L3 networking, load balancing\n\nDistributed storage systems (Ceph, object/block storage)\n\nExperience with:\nPublic cloud IaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP)\n\nInfrastructure automation and IaC\n\nCI/CD pipelines supporting platform engineering\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with RHOSO (Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift) or the OpenStack-on-OpenShift control plane model.\n\nRed Hat certifications (RHCE, Red Hat Certified OpenStack Administrator, or Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator).\n\nExperience supporting HPC/EDA workloads on cloud platforms.\n\nExposure to bare-metal provisioning, hardware lifecycle management, and data center operations.\n\nFamiliarity with SRE practices, reliability engineering, and large-scale observability platforms.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.\n\nEducational Qualification\nBE/BTech/ME/MTech in CS/Electronics or equivalent.\n\nWe’re doing work that matters.
