Working alongside experienced engineers, you will use simulation and data analysis to explore car behaviour, identify performance opportunities and support decisions on car development, race strategy and setup direction. As part of our team, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop valuable technical skills, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.\nSupport the preparation, execution and analysis of offline vehicle simulations, including lap time simulations and setup sweeps\nAssist with the development, validation and maintenance of simulation models and post-processing tools\nAnalyse simulation outputs to understand the impact of setup choices, car characteristics and operating conditions on performance\nCollaborate with engineers across Technical departments to evaluate proposed car updates and setup changes\nContribute to pre-event preparation and post-event analysis using simulation data to investigate performance trends and support engineering decisions\nHelp correlate simulation results with track data and driver-in-loop (DiL) simulator feedback, investigating differences and identifying opportunities to improve model accuracy\nParticipate in factory-based race support activities, assisting engineers with simulation studies and performance analysis\nSupport the preparation, delivery and analysis of full car rig testing activities\nDocument methods, findings and conclusions clearly, communicating results effectively to the wider engineering team\nConsistently and proactively demonstrate the team’s values and behaviours\nFollow Health and Safety, Compliance, Sustainability and other relevant policies, procedures and best practices\nRequirements\nWhat do we need from you?\nCurrently studying towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative discipline\nStrong interest in vehicle performance, simulation and data analysis\nGood understanding of mathematical and physical principles, with the ability to apply them to engineering problems.\nProficiency in at least one programming language used for engineering data analysis, such as Python or MATLAB\nAbility to interpret complex data, identify trends and draw clear, evidence-based conclusions\nAn analytical and methodical approach to problem solving, with strong attention to detail\nA proactive approach to learning, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and seek guidance when needed\nStrong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly\nA team like no other.\nThe Cadillac Formula 1® Team challenges conventions and redefines success through bold ambition, cutting-edge innovation, and an unwavering commitment to precision and excellence-on and off the track.
