As a key member of our manufacturing team, you’ll utilize your expertise to set up, operate, and troubleshoot machining operations for a wide variety of parts on our Swiss CNC turning equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including selecting tooling, loading materials, and securing workpieces\nInterpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop CNC programs for Swiss machining operations\nProgram CNC Swiss machines using CAM software (e.g., Esprit, PartMaker) or manual programming techniques to generate toolpaths and machining sequences\nConduct test runs and verify program accuracy by performing trial cuts and measurements on sample workpieces\nMonitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules\nTroubleshoot machining issues and resolve problems related to tooling, equipment, or programming\nCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization\nTrain and mentor junior CNC operators on setup and operation techniques for Swiss machines\nPerform routine maintenance on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components\nAdhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment\nRequirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines in a manufacturing environment preferred\nProficiency in CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code, and experience with CAM software\nStrong knowledge of Swiss machining processes, tooling, materials, and tolerances\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize CNC programs\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy\nEffective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams\nCommitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures\nEDUCATION\n2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred.\nLOCATION\nOnsite\nSCHEDULE\n1st Shift\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
