This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up and operate hardware machinery, such as drilling machines, cutting saws, lathes, milling machines, or other specialized equipment\nFollow standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production processes\nMonitor machine operation to detect any abnormalities, malfunctions, or deviations from specifications\nPerform hardware assembly tasks, including drilling, cutting, shaping, or attaching hardware components to products\nEnsure precise measurements and alignment of hardware elements to meet quality standards and specifications\nConduct inspections to verify the integrity and functionality of hardware installations, making any necessary adjustments or corrections\nConduct regular inspections of hardware components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards\nIdentify and address any defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities in hardware installations or finishes\nCollaborate with the quality control team to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent reoccurrence\nPerform routine maintenance tasks on hardware machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts\nTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement appropriate repairs or adjustments\nCoordinate with maintenance technicians for more complex repairs or replacements when necessary\nFollow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures\nReport any safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses promptly to the appropriate personnel\nEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures related to equipment operation, safety, and quality standards\nMaintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and any maintenance or repairs performed\nComplete production reports, inspection logs, and other relevant documentation as required\nCollaborate with the production team to ensure accurate inventory management and replenishment of hardware supplies\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, or cost reduction in hardware operations\nPropose and implement changes or modifications to equipment, procedures, or workflows to optimize productivity and quality\nRequirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nPrevious experience as a Hardware Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment\nStrong technical knowledge of hardware machinery and equipment operation\nProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, or work instructions\nAbility to use precision measuring tools and instruments accurately\nDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nGood communication skills and the ability to work well within a team\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma \nLOCATION\nOnsite; Bloomingdale, IL\nSCHEDULE\n2nd Shift\nTOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDES\nHealth/dental/vision coverage \nEmployer-paid and supplemental life insurance \nShort- and long-term disability insurance \nGenerous paid time off and holiday pay \nMonthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify) \n401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% \nEducation support program \nSafety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement \nReferral bonuses \nBonus plan for all full-time employees \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
