Punch Operators monitor machines making sure they are working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials, and well-maintained.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nMeasure completed work to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, and/or rulers\nExamine completed work for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws\nRead work orders/production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances\nLoad work into machine\nSet-up and start machine, monitor operations, and record operational data\nTest and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools\nInstall, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools\nClean and lubricate machines\nPosition, align, and secure work against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies\nPerform periodic checks on output\nPerform typical machine shop operations; set up and run, de-bur\nDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designer \nMaintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures\nPerform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)\nUphold site efficiency standards \nLearn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures\nMeet the standards of the site attendance policy\nAssist in other work areas as assigned\nRun plasma cutter\nUse tapping head\nSet up new special tools (wheel-ribs)\nSet-up multi-tools\nVisually check sheet lifter and cups\nRemove die base/reinstall\nWork completely independently without supervision\nAbility to trouble shoot and resolve issues in assigned work center\nMeet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality work\nRetain knowledge from each job\nFully understand workmanship standards for both Advanced Laser and customers\nAchieve and maintain any certifications required in the work area\nCross trained in multiple workstations\nKnowledge in all work centers with the ability to work/run machines in multiple work centers \nAssist in preventative maintenance of the machines\nRequirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n1+ years of related experience\nRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
