This position requires a solid understanding of welding processes, quality standards, and robotic equipment operation in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience with robotic weld cells and demonstrates the ability to work independently while meeting production and quality requirements.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate and oversee robotic welding cells, ensuring parts are loaded, cycled, and unloaded properly\nPerform inspections of welds using visual methods and measurement tools to verify quality against specifications\nAdjust welding parameters and perform basic programming adjustments as needed to maintain weld quality\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions and quality issues\nPerform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, changing consumables, and verifying fixture alignment\nRead and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions\nDocument production and inspection data accurately\nCollaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement\nAdhere to safety protocols and participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives\nProvide guidance and training to Robotic Weld Operator I personnel as needed\nRequirements\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, or similar industrial environment\nExperience performing basic inspections and measurements\nMechanical aptitude and comfort working with manufacturing equipment\nAbility to follow written work instructions and established procedures\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\nAbility to work safely in a fast-paced production environment\nReliable work history and dependable attendance\nEffective communication and teamwork skills\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n Experience operating robotic welding cells\nExperience working with robotic welding equipment (FANUC, ABB, OTC, or similar systems)\nFamiliarity with manufacturing quality standards and inspection processes\nAbility to read blueprints, prints, or manufacturing drawings\nBasic experience making robotic parameter adjustments or setup changes\nThe following qualifications are helpful but are not required for consideration:\nMIG or TIG welding experience\nWelding certifications\nTraditional welder experience\nAdvanced robotic programming experience\nFormal welding education\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma \nLOCATION\nOnsite; Bloomingdale, IL\nSCHEDULE\n1st Shift\nTOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDES\nHealth/dental/vision coverage \nEmployer-paid and supplemental life insurance \nShort- and long-term disability insurance \nGenerous paid time off and holiday pay \nMonthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify) \n401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% \nEducation support program \nSafety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement \nReferral bonuses \nBonus plan for all full-time employees \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
