This role ensures shipments and deliveries are processed accurately, documentation is maintained, inventory records are updated, and materials are delivered to the appropriate locations on schedule. The coordinator works closely with production, purchasing, inventory control, customer service, and transportation providers to support efficient manufacturing operations and on-time customer deliveries.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials and finished goods.\nPrepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and receiving records.\nVerify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation to confirm accuracy and identify discrepancies.\nCoordinate outbound shipments with carriers, freight providers, and internal departments to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.\nEnter and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in the ERP or warehouse management system.\nMonitor shipment status, track deliveries, and communicate delays or issues to the appropriate departments.\nInspect incoming and outgoing materials for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, and compliance with shipping requirements.\nCoordinate the resolution of shipping errors, damaged goods, missing materials, and delivery discrepancies.\nMaintain organized shipping and receiving areas to support efficient material flow and safe warehouse operations.\nEnsure materials are properly identified, labeled, packaged, and handled in accordance with company procedures and customer specifications.\nSupport inventory accuracy by ensuring receipts, shipments, and material movements are documented and recorded promptly.\nMaintain shipping and receiving records to support inventory control, customer inquiries, audits, and internal reporting.\nFollow company safety procedures and applicable shipping, handling, and transportation requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve shipping and receiving processes, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience with ERP systems, warehouse management systems, or inventory tracking software preferred.\nFamiliarity with shipping documentation, freight coordination, inventory transactions, and material handling procedures.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to identify discrepancies, resolve routine shipping and receiving issues, and escalate complex problems appropriately.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. \nValid driver's license required. \nAbility and willingness to drive box truck as required in local area. \n Driving is 10 - 15% of job. \n 1 to 3 years experience \nEDUCATION\nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nLOCATION\nOnsite\nSCHEDULE\nMonday-Friday\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, vibration, hot parts & sharp edges.
