Works in conjunction with Quality Assurance to make sure high-quality products are produced as specified\nIdentifies, analyzes, and acts to correct bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety hazards, tool and equipment problems\nCouncils, motivates, and instructs Lead and Set Up personnel in quality standards, machine operations, and critical documentation, and employee relations \nProvides on-the-floor training to new employees as needed and works closely with the floor Leads and Set Up employees\nManages department by; ensuring effective employee relations; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; coaching and developing talent; addressing issues and resolving problems \nEnsures proper inventory levels are maintained to meet daily production and/or assembly needs \nManages department priorities\nMay create production schedules to prioritize department’s needs\nRequirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3+ years as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals\nAbility to read and understand blueprints.
