We support our clients by providing additional technical expertise and design capacity, working as an extension of their internal teams.\nOur projects include the design of building structures in reinforced concrete, structural steel and precast concrete, ranging from individual structural elements to complete buildings and large multidisciplinary developments. We focus on delivering practical, efficient and high-quality engineering solutions in accordance with UK standards, Eurocodes and our clients’ requirements.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nYou’ll act as the primary technical link between clients and our engineering teams. Rather than day-to-day design work, you’ll coordinate projects, review technical work, and ensure quality delivery.\nAs many of our clients are engineering consultancies themselves, you will need to communicate confidently with experienced structural engineers and understand the importance of working collaboratively as an extension of their team.\nThe role will primarily cover reinforced concrete and structural steel building structures. Experience with precast concrete would be advantageous. Experience in temporary works or scaffold design would also be beneficial but is not essential.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nActing as the primary technical interface between clients and our structural engineering design teams\nCoordinating and reviewing structural engineering work to ensure technical accuracy, quality and compliance\nProviding technical guidance and support to design teams throughout project delivery\nWorking collaboratively with engineering consultancies as an extension of their internal design teams\nLiaising with clients, contractors, architects and other project stakeholders\nReviewing structural calculations, reports, drawings and design documentation\nIdentifying technical risks and developing practical engineering solutions\nEnsuring projects comply with Eurocodes, UK Standards, client specifications and agreed programmes\nSupporting project managers with technical input throughout project delivery\nHelping to plan resources and coordinate the delivery of multiple structural design projects\nContributing to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, checking procedures and design processes\nEssential Requirements\nChartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership\nSignificant experience in the design and delivery of building structures\nStrong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures\nExperience reviewing and checking structural engineering work\nExcellent understanding of UK design standards and Eurocodes\nStrong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams\nAbility to manage technical coordination across multiple projects\nExcellent problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement\nFamiliarity with FEA software such as: Dlubal RFEM/RSTAB, SCIA Engineer, ETABS, or equivalent\nMinimum of 8yrs experience\nDesirable Skills\nThe following experience would be considered a strong advantage:\nExperience with precast concrete structures\nExperience in temporary works and/or scaffold design\nWhy Join CADS?\nCompetitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000 + Company Pension + DIS\nHybrid working and flexible approach to work\nSupportive, collaborative team environment\nOngoing training and professional development\nOpportunity to directly influence software used by engineers worldwide\nA role with real scope to grow and evolve within the business\nCycle to work scheme\n25 Days annual leave (+ public holidays)\nTravel opportunities\nAll candidates applying must already be eligible to work in the UK.\nHow to Apply\nIf you are passionate about engineering, technology, and helping others succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
