This position will abide by CAE x SIMCOM standards and policies. The instructor pilot will deliver ground school and simulator training during Initial, Recurrent or specialty training courses to our customers on an on-call/as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will focus on customer progress and performance with a tailored approach to specific training that includes lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, and upkeep of current publications and training materials. Travel may be required on an occasional basis\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAs an Instructor Pilot, provide standardized training in the classroom and/or simulator (unless specifically requires the aircraft) for the following events:Captain UpgradesInitial/Recurrent TrainingPIC/SIC EvaluationsDifferences TrainingRemedial Training\nEnforce company standards by teaching and requiring others to fly by set standards of service and safety\nStrong interpersonal, verbal/written, listening, and presentation skills are necessary to effectively teach required subjects and provide constructive feedback\nPossess the skills to properly judge and evaluate pilot performance and willing to accurately and impartially judge and evaluate\nConduct ground and simulator training for Customers at SIMCOM\nThe successful candidate must be able to keep accurate records, complete proper paperwork and submit required documents to the company in a timely manner\nEvaluate Customers progress in gaining skills and knowledge by the standards established at SIMCOM\nServe as a liaison between the customers and the training center managers.\nIf authorized as TCE for CAE x SIMCOM, conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142\nAssist/Define customer training requirements through participation in training conferences, meetings\nMaintain competency and qualifications authorized to instruct\nMaintain a high level of professionalism\nPerform other related duties and assignments as required\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or state-issued equivalent\nMinimum of 3,000 of total flight hours\nHold an unrestricted ATP certificate and one unrestricted PIC type rating\nA passion for teaching supported by strong communication skills\nBasic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs)\nMust participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program\nMust be authorized to live/work in the United States\nExcellent fluency in English (spoken and written)\nStrong listening and presentation skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree or college degree preferred\nPrevious teaching or training experience preferred\n Experience flying business aircraft is a plus (135 Operations)\nExisting instructor qualification or type rating preferred\nExperience on the CJ4\nPhysical Requirements:\nConstantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles\nOccasionally move into various positions, including confined spaces\nRemain in stationary positions for prolonged periods (standing or sitting)\nOccasionally move about to accomplish tasks\nOccasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds\nOccasionally perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions\nBenefits:\nComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and EAP plans\n401(k) and employee stock purchase programs with CAE match\nGenerous paid time off, including parental leave and vacation\nCompany-paid life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, and caregiver support\nVoluntary legal coverage, long-term care, dependent life insurance, pet insurance, and FSA programs\nAdditional programs supporting healthy work-life balance and personal and professional well-being\nE-Verify\nAs a Federal Contractor, CAE is required to participate in the E-Verify Program to confirm eligibility to work in the United States.
