Be part of a team where your work makes a difference, with opportunities to grow, collaborate, and thrive.MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:\nTo act as contractual and commercial support in bidding for & managing contracts and providing commercially reasonable contractual solutions in conjunction with and support the Defence and Security team within the UK and EMEA region\nKEY RESPONSIBILITES:\nServe as a focal point of contact for customers (external and internal) regarding contractual matters by establishing good customer relationship and communications.· \nPerform review of customer proposed contractual agreements (NDAs, Teaming Agreements, TAAs, Contracts etc.) and provide CAE position as required in close conjunction with CAE legal counsel.\nProactive participation in Business Winning Bid Teams, including: Generating the Commercial Response to Customer RFPs in accordance with the agreed strategy, relevant input from other disciplines (e.g. prices; payment plan from Finance/Pricing; IP, LDs and liability from CAE legal) and Customer requirements;Assisting Bids and Proposals Manager to generate Proposal Documentation (Commercial Volume, Risk and Opportunities Registers, Compliance Matrices etc.) matched to Customer requirements;o Undertaking a commercial/contractual review of the full suite of proposal documents provided by Bids and Proposals Manager;Support the development and implementation of the negotiation strategy;Participation in contract negotiations with Customers to fulfil business requirements in support of Sales/Business Development Lead and / or Programme Manager.\nIn close conjunction with CAE legal counsel, prepare and negotiate contracts and amendments to existing contracts and arrange for their approval.\nProvide guidance on compliance to terms and conditions of customer contracts, identify the appropriate flow down of such terms and conditions to potential subcontractors.· Assist the Programme Management function by supporting subcontract negotiations as required.\nIdentification of potential contractual liabilities, risks, issues and disputes, arising with customers, suppliers, partners and third parties, and report to CAE legal accordingly and jointly produce mitigation plans.\nMaintain contractual records, documentation of key correspondence, status and issue reports etc.\nSupport in ensuring compliance with all relevant Corporate Policies and Procedures relevant tobidding for and managing contracts.\nAny other duties as may be required..\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nAt least 7 years experience in a commercial, marketing or business-related field is essential.\nExtensive knowledge of contract law and UK MoD terms and conditions e.g. DEFCONS and public procurement.\nStrong business acumen.\nGood organisational and co-ordination skills.\nEffective communication and presentation skills.\nStrong negotiating skills.\nKnowledge of data protection legislation is desirable.\nAble to work under pressure as an integral member of bid/project teams and capacity to meet project deadlines.\nGood PC skills (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, etc).\nSPECIAL FEATURES:\nApplicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.\nIn this role, a Hybrid working model is available which offers the blend of office working as well as working remotely.\nSome activities will require travel to other CAE and Customer sites in the UK and overseas, which could be at short notice.\nMust be able to obtain or transfer Security Clearance which the Company sponsors (applicants must have lived continuously in the UK for the past 5 years in order to obtain security clearance) or currently holds NATO SC level Security Clearance that can be transferred from overseas to the UK.\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
