This role prepares and reviews financial information, tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), investigates variances, and helps translate data into actionable business insights. The Finance Analyst maintains and enhances financial models, reports, and analytical tools and collaborates with Finance, Accounting, and business partners to support planning and forecasting activities.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare, maintain, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking for Finance and business partners.\nAnalyze revenue, costs, margins, working capital, and other financial and operational drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nPerform variance analysis and investigate unusual results, data gaps, or inconsistencies; communicate findings in clear, concise, and actionable summaries.\nMaintain and improve financial models, templates, and reporting tools used for analysis, decision support, budgeting, and forecasting.\nUtilize approved AI, automation, and data tools to enhance analysis, improve reporting efficiency, and support data quality initiatives.\nSupport month-end and quarter-end activities, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes, by preparing analyses, validating inputs, and documenting assumptions.\nReconcile and validate financial and operational data across source systems, reports, and business submissions.\nDevelop knowledge of the business, industry, and key performance drivers to strengthen financial analysis and commentary.\nCollaborate with Accounting and business partners to understand financial results, address inquiries, and support informed decision-making.\nPrepare presentations, summaries, and ad hoc analyses for Finance and business leadership.\nContribute to process improvement, standardization, documentation, and issue-resolution initiatives across finance systems and workflows.\nSupport special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n1 to 3 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Analysis.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.\nAbility to collaborate effectively in a team environment.\nProfessional proficiency in English \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Excel macros.\nKnowledge of Baan ERP systems.\nExperience using financial reporting, data analysis, automation, or AI-enabled tools to support financial processes.\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
