With a diverse range of training devices at our Vienna Training Centre, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of simulator systems and equipment, while continuously expanding your technical expertise.\nLocation:CAE Vienna Training Services | Parzgasse 2, 2320 , Schwechat, Austria\nIn this role, the Simulator Systems Engineer will be expected to ensure that the simulators and other training devices are kept operational and manage new updates and installs. This position is at the supervisory level of technical staff and the incumbent is expected to exercise judgment and initiative in planning, coordination, and execution of work assignments in line with the existing policies and procedures and by effectively allocating time and resources to meet business and budget objectives in a timely manner.\nKey responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nDebugging avionics and aircraft system deficiencies\nTuning subjective observations raised by instructors debugging and tuning QTGs\nSolving basic software issues and integrate them into software loads.\nIdentify and debug recurring and intermittent issues.\nPlan and prepare for annual Recurrent Qualifications of in-service devices.\nCoordinate new simulator projects and upgrades and subsequently provide the project engineer functions to oversee their installation, testing & qualification.\nProvide regulatory guidance and support simulator requalification’s.\nSupport the shift and work in conjunction with the Team Leader Simulator Technician and provide cover as required during low shift numbers.\nOur ideal candidate has:\nKnowledge of CAE software and applications, including CAELIB, GitHub, Strive Framework, Visual Systems, SIM XXI & 7000XR system architecture, Simfinity, Launchpad, and ITMS.\nKnowledge of C, C++, and FORTRAN programming languages, as well as scripting languages such as Python.\nStrong computer literacy, including PC and/or computer mainframe architecture.\nIdeally 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.\nA college diploma or associate degree, ideally in a relevant technical discipline.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and applications.\nFluency in English.\nBenefits\nOccupational Pension Plan - employer contributions toward your future.\nGroup Accident Insurance - full coverage during work and leisure time.\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP).\nCAErefer - earn up to €1,500 for successful referrals.\nmyClubs membership - access to 1,000+ sports providers in Austria.\nCorporate Benefits - discounts from 600+ brands via an online portal.\nOnsite German courses.\nThe minimum gross monthly salary for this position is EUR 4350 gross.
