You will support CAE's vision of being the global training partner of choice by helping ensure that training devices remain qualified, available, and ready for every training session.\nIn this role, you will perform routine technical maintenance, conduct first-line troubleshooting, and support the upkeep of training devices in accordance with qualification standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and/or Cabin Crew Training Devices by responding to maintenance requests and performing device setup, conversions, and demonstrations.\nIndependently complete Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) activities on training devices and associated systems.\nReview and sign off work completed by Simulator Support Assistants on complex PMTs and maintenance activities, as applicable.\nMaintain accurate, current, and readily accessible maintenance records.\nExecute recurrent Qualification Test Guide (QTG) runs and perform first-line troubleshooting using schematics and aircraft or device documentation.\nUse the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities.\nSupport recurring data and content updates, including Navigation Databases, Terrain Databases, OIS and EFB content, training documents, performance data, and IOS lesson plans.\nMaintain accurate records of all software, data, and content updates.\nManage inventory levels of consumables and tools and submit replenishment requests as needed.\nSupport logistics activities, including annual inventory counts, storage organization, packing, and shipping preparation.\nPerform housekeeping and administrative activities that support the Technical Services team.\nComply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, policies, and safe work procedures.\nMinimum Qualifications\nTechnical College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Aviation, or a related technical field.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience working with flight simulators or related training devices.\nProficiency in spoken and written English.\nWorking knowledge of computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming concepts.\nAbility to perform basic software modifications and troubleshooting activities.\nTechnical knowledge of simulator hardware and software systems.\nUnderstanding of aircraft and training device terminology.\nCustomer-focused approach with the ability to build effective working relationships.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience troubleshooting multiple simulator systems, including motion, visual, avionics, flight dynamics, and aircraft systems.\nKnowledge of commercial aviation training environments and processes.\nExperience supporting commercial aircraft simulator platforms.\nFamiliarity with a variety of aircraft types, including commercial jetliners.\nKnowledge of applicable regulatory authorities and standards, including EASA, UAE DGCA, or equivalent regulations related to FSTDs.\nExperience supporting simulator qualification activities, including QTG execution and analysis.\nLI-JK1\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
