Working alongside subject matter experts, multimedia specialists, software developers, and training professionals, you'll help design and develop engaging learning content that supports critical defence capability.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on complex military and defence training programs, influence the quality and effectiveness of learning outcomes, and contribute to projects that directly support national security objectives.\nDescription\nIn this role, I will:\nLead and coordinate training development activities across multiple projects\nReview and quality assure training content to ensure compliance with established standards\nWork closely with subject matter experts and development teams to create engaging learning solutions\nMonitor project schedules, manage priorities, and identify risks to delivery\nProvide project progress updates and reporting to key stakeholders\nContribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design, writing, and media standards throughout the training development lifecycle\nMinimum Qualifications\nCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)\nUndergraduate qualification in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or a related discipline\nExperience in instructional design, eLearning, or computer-based training development\nStrong written communication, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement skills\nAbility to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications\nStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving capability\nAustralian Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance\nAbility to work from our Homebush, NSW site in an on-site or hybrid capacity as required\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing training within Defence, military aviation, naval, or mission systems environments\nKnowledge of Australian Defence Force training policies and procedures (SADL)\nExperience with Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) and eLearning authoring tools\nDiploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50122)\nExperience working within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)\n5+ years' experience in training development or instructional design environments\nLocation\nHomebush, NSW\nHybrid working arrangements may be available\nSome domestic and international travel may be required\nBenefits\nOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on Australian defence and security\nExciting career opportunities within a global organisation\nAccess to a generous ADF Reserve Service Policy\nWellness subsidy\nGenerous parental leave\nEmployee Share Purchase Plan\nFitness Passport\nInsurance cover\nAnd much more!\nSecurity Requirements\nAs the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to work in this role.
