The role leverages CAE’s simulation technologies, training methodologies, and industry partnerships to develop integrated training systems that address customer operational requirements.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLead the definition and development of fully integrated training solutions from early customer engagement activities (pre-RFP) through capture, proposal development, and contract award.\nAct as the primary point of contact for training solution matters with internal stakeholders, customers, end users, and industry partners.\nCollaborate with domain experts and industry partners to define comprehensive training programs supporting individual, team, and collective training requirements.\nParticipate in training product research and development roadmap activities to support current and future customer training needs while improving efficiency and effectiveness.\nProvide leadership to capture teams on large Training System Integration (TSI) opportunities.\nDirect Training Task Analysis, Training Needs Analysis, Training Media Analysis, and Training Curriculum Design activities in collaboration with technical leads, learning specialists, subject matter experts, and customer representatives.\nIntegrate CAE technologies, standard products, and subcontractor capabilities into cohesive training solutions.\nApply training development processes, modern tools, and multidisciplinary team approaches to training solution design.\nWork closely with system architects to ensure training requirements are appropriately translated into engineering and courseware requirements.\nSupport execution strategy development, including make-buy analysis, strategic partner selection, workshare planning, and offset requirement considerations.\nPrepare and deliver solution reviews to communicate technical, programmatic, and commercial aspects of proposed solutions.\nFacilitate cost estimation and risk assessment activities across stakeholders.\nIdentify and mitigate potential risks associated with training solution design, deployment, and delivery.\nPresent and review training solutions with customers and end users during business capture and proposal phases.\nEnsure proposed integrated training solutions provide effective, cost-conscious, and lifecycle-focused training outcomes, including academic, synthetic, simulation-based, and Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training environments.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum 15 years of experience in industry and/or military service.\nMinimum 10 years of experience developing and/or delivering operational or maintenance training programs within the defense sector.\nPrevious aircrew experience within the Canadian Armed Forces or a NATO member nation.\nExperience leading large-scale training development, training integration, engineering, or related complex projects.\nStrong knowledge of training system development principles and integrated training solutions.\nKnowledge of systems engineering development processes.\nDemonstrated ability to support capture strategies and proposal development activities.\nStrong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAvailability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.\nAbility to obtain and maintain Canadian and/or NATO Secret Security Clearances.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAircrew Instructor experience.\nFighter aircraft or fighter lead-in training experience within Canadian or NATO environments.\nKnowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fighter training and lead-in fighter training programs.\nExperience with the Canadian defense procurement process.\nKnowledge of military weapons range operations, including Cold Lake, Bagotville, or Goose Bay training environments.\nKnowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) threats and target replication.\nKnowledge of military operationalization training and air-to-air range infrastructure.\nKnowledge of Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) and other podded systems.\nWorking knowledge of military flight safety, airworthiness, flight operations, and/or maintenance repair organizations.\nKnowledge of CAE training solutions and modeling and simulation systems.\nUniversity degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nBenefits\nCompany benefits plan\nPension plan\nEmployee stock purchase plan\nCareer development opportunities within a global organization\nHybrid work model\nComprehensive health and wellness programs\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
