IT System Architecture Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level IT solutions that support business objectives and technology strategies across CAE's Defense & Security Canada Region.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDevelop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and guidelines.\nDesign end-to-end technology solutions that integrate applications, data, and infrastructure components.\nEnsure architecture solutions comply with security, regulatory, operational, and organizational requirements.\nLead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.\nCollaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations regarding adoption and implementation strategies.\nDefine integration patterns and architecture approaches across hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud-based platforms.\nIdentify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.\nSupport the development and implementation of monitoring, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.\nIncorporate Government of Canada cybersecurity principles and requirements into architecture designs.\nSupport adherence to data protection, privacy, and information security standards.\nServe as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and IT leadership.\nCommunicate technical concepts, recommendations, and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in IT architecture, solution architecture, systems design, or a related discipline\nExperience developing and implementing enterprise architecture solutions in complex technology environments\nExperience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)\nKnowledge of virtualization, networking, and enterprise infrastructure technologies\nExperience with integration technologies and architectural patterns, including APIs, enterprise service bus (ESB), and microservices\nKnowledge of security architecture principles, cybersecurity controls, and compliance requirements\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies\nExperience supporting Flight Operations and/or Flight Training environments\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience working within regulated environments supporting government, defense, aerospace, or security-related programs.\nExperience leading enterprise architecture initiatives across large organizations.\nProfessional certifications such as:TOGAF\nMicrosoft
