Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and external suppliers, the post holder will ensure inventory accuracy, asset accountability, cost-effective stockholding and regulatory compliance while supporting equipment availability.\nKey Responsibilities\nInventory, Stores & Asset Control\nMaintain accurate inventory, asset and material records within TCMS, ensuring effective control, traceability and reconciliation throughout the inventory lifecycle.\nMonitor stock levels and material risks, identifying shortages, obsolescence concerns and other issues that could affect simulator availability.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions to maintain accurate stock records.\nAsset Traceability & Configuration Management\nMaintain accurate and auditable records of simulator assets, components and configuration changes.\nEnsure appropriate asset accountability and full traceability throughout the asset lifecycle.\nRepairable Asset & Supplier Management\nManage repairable assets throughout the repair cycle, maintaining accurate tracking and clear status visibility.\nLiaise with Engineering, Procurement, suppliers and repair organisations to identify and progress appropriate repair solutions.\nMonitor repair turnaround times, supplier performance and material risks, escalating issues that could affect operational availability.\nSupport the evaluation of alternative suppliers and repair routes to improve availability, supply resilience and value for money.\nProcurement & Lifecycle Support\nSupport procurement and lifecycle-management activities by providing accurate inventory information and recommendations.\nHelp optimise stockholding, control costs and mitigate material obsolescence risks.\nProvide inventory and usage information to support purchasing and material-planning decisions.\nLogistics, Transportation & Compliance\nProcess goods receipt, storage, issue, return and despatch activities in accordance with company procedures.\nPrepare equipment and materials for shipment and coordinate transportation using approved carriers and service providers.\nSupport import and export activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, security and company requirements.\nEngineering & Operational Support\nSupport Maintenance and Engineering teams by ensuring timely material availability.\nPrioritise logistics activities according to operational requirements.\nProvide accurate inventory and material information to minimise equipment downtime and support training delivery.\nContinuous Improvement & Reporting\nSupport audits, reporting and performance monitoring relating to inventory, repairable assets and supply-chain activities.\nDrive improvements in TCMS utilisation, inventory accuracy, material control and logistics processes.\nInvestigate recurring material-support issues and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.\nDevelop and maintain performance information relating to inventory accuracy, stock availability, repair turnaround times and supplier performance.\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience\nExperience within stores, logistics, inventory, supply chain or material-support operations.\nExperience using computerised inventory and/or asset-management systems.\nGood understanding of inventory-control processes, including stock reconciliation, traceability and discrepancy investigation.\nAbility to analyse material-related issues and identify practical solutions.\nStrong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing operational requirements.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, management, suppliers and other stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment.\nGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nCompetence in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems.\nCommercial awareness, with an understanding of the relationship between inventory management, equipment availability and cost.\nAdditional information\nSome local travel is required to support equipment movements, supplier engagement, repair activities and inventory-management requirements.\nOccasional flexibility is required to respond to urgent operational requirements and changing business priorities.\nThe role involves responsibility for the control, handling and movement of high-value and operationally critical equipment.\nStrict compliance with applicable security, safety, export-control and information-management requirements is essential.\n#LI-AK1\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
