The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring contractual commitments, schedule requirements, operational objectives, and financial targets are achieved.\nResponsibilities include:\nIndependently manage one or multiple projects from initiation through closeout.\nManage financial and operational resources to fulfill contractual obligations while maintaining project profitability.\nDevelop and execute project management plans for complex projects.\nProvide day-to-day leadership and coordination of cross-functional matrix teams.\nSupport proposal development activities related to project management, cost, schedule, and execution planning.\nDirect one or more Defence & Security programs involving resource planning, scheduling, subcontract management, and project execution activities.\nApply organizational project management policies, processes, procedures, and best practices.\nShare project management knowledge and best practices with colleagues.\nParticipate in the negotiation of subcontract agreements and workshare arrangements.\nAddress project scope, resource, or schedule challenges through effective planning and prioritization.\nServe as the primary point of contact with customers regarding project execution, negotiations, and acceptance activities.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.\nRepresent customer requirements and priorities throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport technical, cost, and schedule planning associated with proposal activities.\nDevelop and maintain project work breakdown structures (WBS).\nIdentify opportunities for contract amendments that support customer requirements and project objectives.\nParticipate in organizational initiatives and continuous improvement activities as required.\nMinimum Qualifications\nUndergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.\nNon-technical undergraduate degrees may be considered with relevant experience.\nAbility to meet requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).\nEligibility to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.\nWillingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.\nFlexibility to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones.\nStrong project planning, organization, and prioritization skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nCandidates not currently PMP certified should be willing and eligible to obtain certification within twelve months of hire.\nExperience leading complex projects or programs within the Defence, Aerospace, or Security sectors.\nExperience managing subcontractors, contract deliverables, and customer relationships.\nExperience working within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.\nKnowledge of project financial management, budgeting, and profitability tracking.\nBenefits\nWe’ve designed flexible policies to promote well-being and growth, based on role-specific eligibility and requirements:\nFlexible Group Benefits\nPension plan\nEmployee stock purchase plan\nComprehensive health and wellness programs\nSupportive team and collaborative corporate culture\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
