If this sounds like an amazing opportunity for you, Our Doors are Open (watch here): desktop | mobile\nThe incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:\nDescription\nProvide real-time phone support to address technical issues on training center flight simulators.\n\nPrepare the simulator for customer training, including performing pre-flight tests.\n\nExecute recurring scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.\n\nPerform aircraft validation tests (QTG) and create/restore system/computer disk backups.\n\nDiagnose and resolve complex simulator deficiencies in a timely manner.\n\nIdentify and replace defective simulator components.\n\nValidate snag fixes directly on the simulator device.\n\nMaintain and document configuration control of both software and hardware elements.\n\nWork within C/Unix and Windows environments to step through code modules, identify root causes, and propose strong leads and hypotheses for resolution.\n\nRead and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical drawings and design documents.\n\nDefine technical problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\n\nApply aircraft/systems knowledge to execute hands-on fixes on Full Flight Simulators.\n\nLog all work regularly, objectively, and formally in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).\n\nUpdate technical documentation and procedures when required.\n\nParticipate in technical training courses and on-the-job learning.\n\nLead and execute projects to improve and ensure smooth operations of the training center.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.\n\nAbility to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.\n\nAbility to interpret system prints and schematics.\n\nProficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).\n\nKnowledge in analog and digital theory.\n\nComputer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).\n\nProficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.\n\nSome Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.\n\nFluency in English.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of CAE software and applications (CAELIB, STARTEAM, visual systems, SIM XXI architecture).\n\nUnderstanding of hardware/software interactions as they relate to aviation simulation.\n\nAeronautical knowledge, including avionics, flight dynamics, aircraft systems, and simulated systems experience.\n\nPhysical Efforts:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
