Be part of a team where your work makes a difference, with opportunities to grow, collaborate, and thrive.The Simulator Technician I performs routine technical activities in a simulator, laboratory, field, or operational environment while developing proficiency in simulator maintenance and support activities.\nKey responsibilities include:\nPerform routine technical tasks on-site, in the field, or in a laboratory environment.\nParticipate in training related to laboratory, office, plant, and field-based technical work.\nPerform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.\nAssist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues affecting simulators and related systems.\nUtilize maintenance management systems to document and track maintenance activities.\nComplete all required training activities.\nConduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator activities on designated devices.\nPerform basic visual alignments.\nExecute automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) testing.\nSupport simulator refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.\nComply with CAE's Quality Management System requirements and procedures.\nProvide timely customer support and respond to customer needs.\nPerform housekeeping and maintenance-related activities to support simulator readiness.\nSupport logistics activities, including receipt of parts, repair coordination, testing, and validation tasks.\nComplete administrative activities as required.\nSupport the Technical Services team with additional duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate degree (2-year technical diploma) in Electronics, Avionics, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent technical training and experience.\n0-2 years of relevant technical experience.\nAbility to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.\nExperience using electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.\nKnowledge of analog and digital electronics principles.\nBasic computer proficiency and understanding of computer systems and architectures.\nExperience performing soldering and circuit board repair activities.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nFluency in English\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting flight simulators or simulation systems.\nExperience working in a maintenance, electronics, avionics, aerospace, or technical service environment.\nFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nExperience supporting customer-facing technical operations.\nE-verify if you have added it and ensure pay transparency if required.
