Projects may be of experimental or design nature.\n\nSolve a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems problems.\n\nKey responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nPerform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.\n\nAssist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.\n\nDiagnose and correct complex problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.\n\nUtilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.\n\nTrain technicians in basic skills.\n\nProvide technical training for other technicians.\n\nComplete all designated training activities.\n\nActively pursue continued professional growth and training.\n\nPerform pre-flight and post flight on all simulators.\n\nPerform visual alignments.\n\nRun and evaluate required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approval Test Guide (ATG)/ Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.\n\nAssist Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.\n\nPerform refurbishment and hardware modifications.\n\nPursue knowledge and skills to enhance ability as a technical expert.\n\nPerform software changes to correct problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.\n\nIdentify and coordinate efforts to correct training deficiencies.\n\nAssist Group Lead in day-to-day operation of maintenance activities.\n\nLearn and comply with CAE quality management system.\n\nProvide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.\n\nPerform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.\n\nPerform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.\n\nPerform administrative tasks as required.\n\nPerform tasks to support the technical services group as required.\n\nQualifications:\n2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.\n\nMinimum of 5 years direct simulator experience with at least 3 years of relative simulator experience per assigned location.\n\nProficiency with all types of test equipment.\n\nProficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator.\n\nTroubleshooting skills.\n\nAbility to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.\n\nAbility to assist the CAE SimuFlite Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.\n\nAbility to assist with the development and delivery of technical training for other technicians.\n\nDemonstrated ability as the Technical Expert on at least one major simulator system (i.e. motion, visual, aircraft systems, etc.).\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.\n\nFluency in English.\n\nAbout CAE\nAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
